DAILY WORKOUT: LEGS AND GLUTES

MY FAVORITE DAY(S) OF THE WEEK: LEG DAY! I know everyone loves a good leg day workout, and who doesn’t want a big old badonk, so let’s just get started. Don’t skip the glute warmup; it ensures that your glutes are fired and will be fully utilized the entire workout.

Because this is part of my Daily Workout series, I won’t be posting pictures/ gifs or form instructions with each exercise, for the purpose to keep these posts brief and quick. Should you not know how to do an exercise, simply type it into Google and you will know how to do it in seconds.

Dropset: Where you do one exercise and its assigned reps, then drop the weight, and immediately do the remaining assigned reps, or until failure, and THEN rest.

SuperSet: Where you do two exercises and their assigned reps back to back with out resting, and rest after completing all reps for both exercises.

Pre-Workout: 1 1/2 cups of granola with 1% milk, 1 banana, and 1 scoop of C4 Pre-Workout

Glute activation Warmup

1x3o bodyweight hip thrusts

1×35 glute kick backs (each leg)

1x 35 fire hydrants (each leg)

1) Back Squats

(1 x 25) 25 seconds rest , (2 x 10) 60 seconds rest, (2 x 8) 60-90 seconds rest

2) (Superset) Box/ Bench Squats / Back Lunges

5 x (Box/ bench squats x 10 reps, Back Lunges x 10-12 reps Each Leg) 60-90 seconds rest.

3) (Superset) Romanian Deadlifts / Barbell/dumbbell glute bridge) 

4 x (Romanians x 10-12 reps, Barbell/ Dumbbell glute bridge x 15 reps) 90 seconds rest

4) (Dropset) Leg Extension 

5 x (10 reps, drop weight, another 15 reps) 45 seconds rest

5) (Dropset) Seated Leg curl

5 x (1o reps, drop weight, another 12 reps) 45 seconds rest

(For an extra challenge, superset numbers 4 and 5) 

6) Hip abductor machine

4 x 30

7) (Dropset) Seated/ standing calf raise

5 x (15 reps, drop weight, another 15 reps) 30-45 seconds rest.

Post-Workout: 2 Dunkin Donuts plain, glazed donuts, 2 1/2 scoops of MyProtein Impact Whey Protein.
